New Bloomfield man charged with DWI, other violations

The Callaway County Sheriff's Department responded to an alleged drunk driver early Sunday morning.

At approximately 2:08 a.m., a CCSD deputy observed a truck speeding and unable to stay on the right half of the roadway south of Fulton on Old Highway 54. The deputy caught up with the alleged driver, who had stopped his truck in the middle of the lane, exited and began to urinate in the middle of the road.

The deputy observed that, Troy S. Hodges of New Bloomfield, was intoxicated and subsequently arrested him on charges of driving while intoxicated, felony driving while revoked, failure to drive on the right side of the roadway and speeding.

According to public records, Hodges, 32, has four prior DWI convictions. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
