Behind by four points midway through the second quarter and carrying the momentum of a three-point play, the prospects were hopeful for the Fulton Hornets in their quest to upend the state-ranked Helias Crusaders.
But from there, the Crusaders would kick it into another gear.
"I don't know if it so much deflated us as (Helias) went to the next level, I think," Hornet head coach Ryan Shaw said. "I think they played like the third-ranked team in the state for a 7-minute stretch is what I think happened there.
"It wasn't so much that we fell down as they rose up."
Fulton was held to a season-low point total as it was overwhelmed by the Crusaders 70-38 on Friday night at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.
