A small crowd of Callaway County farmers and business owners gathered at the county fairgrounds Tuesday night for the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce's annual Town and Country Dinner.

Honorees for the evening were Kingdom Feed and the Fulton Farmers Market.

Kingdom Feed owner Darrel Wilmsmeyer said he was "a little surprised" at being named the Ag Business of the Year, and expressed his gratitude to his patrons and the chamber for the honor.

"I'd like to thank the chamber, and the community, for supporting us," Wilmsmeyer said.

Tillie Garriott said she and her husband, Leroy, always attend the Town and Country Dinner, but were especially pleased this year to offer some of that support to Wilmsmeyer - who just happens to be their neighbor.

"We patronize Kingdom Feed because his personality is very friendly and very helpful, and he's a landscaper also - he's good in that line, our son-in-law has used him," Tillie Garriott said.
