Chamber event to put focus on area agribusinesses

The Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce is keeping things "Country Casual" for this year's Town & Country Dinner.

This year's banquet will be held at the Callaway County Fairgrounds on Sept. 24, and will feature Kingdom Feed as the agribusiness of the year.

Event chairperson Gracia Backer said the annual dinner is a "time for the county to recognize the businesses and farm families for the many things they contribute to our lives daily."

"It's a great tradition usually held during harvest time as a way to honor the farmers who work so hard to provide the food on our tables," she said.

Also being featured during the 2013 Town & Country Dinner is the Fulton Farmers' Market, which will have vendors selling their products from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
