For this years' Fulton Street Fair 5K Run/Walk and Kid's Mile races, everything is running smoothly so far. One of the only new features for this race will be the pre-registration location, which will follow sponsor Atlas Physical Therapy's move from its current location to a spot near Missouri F and US-54.
Pre-registration runs from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, June 15 at the new Atlas building's parking lot where racers will pick up their registration packet, which includes their race number and shirt. Participants may also download an application to submit from fultonstreetfair.com. The races themselves will begin at 8 a.m. for the youth event and 8:45 a.m. for the 5K. Awards will be handed out at 10 a.m. following the race.
Race organizer Brad Hegemann said that last year still had a good turnout besides storms the morning of the race, and he expected even more participants this year now that Mother Nature shouldn't be a hindrance.
"This year we're expecting around 200 in the 5K, and we usually get 30-40 kids for the Kid's Mile," he said.
