The Fulton Hornets tennis team - sparked by the play of juniors Scott Strough and Philip Barkho - put itself in position to capture the Class 1, District 7 title.
Fulton advanced to the championship match with a 6-3 semifinal victory over Missouri Military Academy on Tuesday night at the high school athletic complex. The Hornets (21-3) won four of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches.
