As a class of fourth-graders jumped rope in P.E. class Thursday, they were exercising a muscle that is being highlighted this month - the heart.

All three Fulton elementary schools are competing against each other to raise money for the American Heart Association. Since February is American Heart Month, the schools decided to take part in a friendly competition for this year's Jump Rope For Heart fundraiser.

Laura Dooley-Wilder, P.E. coach at McIntire Elementary School, said McIntire students raised about $1,500 for the AHA last year.
