It's easy to look at the box score from Fulton's home opener against the Boonville Pirates and think that the Hornets gave the game away.
Turning the ball over five times is never the key ingredient to success, and that's just what Fulton did.
But the numbers that tell you all you need to know are the team rushing statistics - the Pirates outrushed the Hornets 399 yards to 9. Simply put, Boonville flat-out took the game from the Hornets.
"Right now I feel like we got whupped up front on both sides of the ball," Fulton head football coach Pat Kelley said. "I give Boonville all the credit in the world because when they had the ball, they moved it on us."
