Downtown Trick-or-Treat on tap for Monday

Fulton Sun photos move to courthouse

The majority of downtown will go to the kids Monday afternoon.

Certain streets will be closed to allow more than 1,000 young trick-or-treaters to descend on the area in pursuit of candy.

Area businesses and organizations will hand out candy outside as children walk from storefront to storefront along the streets. There will be no starting point or maps this year. Parents can guide their young witches and warlocks to any candy spot along the arrowed sidewalk.

The Fulton Sun's annual Halloween photo shoot will take place in the lobby of the Callaway County Courthouse this year from 2-5 p.m. The changes to the Downtown Merchants Association's Downtown Trick-or-Treat event came amid safety concerns.

To help the tornado-stricken people of Dumas and surroundings, donations can be made to the Delta Area Disaster Relief Fund, care of the Delta Area Community Foundation, P.O. Box 894, Dumas, AR, 71639, or through the Arkansas Community Foundation, 700 S. Rock St., Little Rock, AR, 72202.
