Rebecca (Moffatt) Wichmann tries to do her part when it comes to the environment.

"I had always tried to conserve what I could, and encourage those around me to do little things, instead of trying to make big changes which are often too much to maintain," Wichmann said.

Now, through her artistic talents, Wichmann has the opportunity to affect change on a larger scale.

Wichmann, a 26-year-old Fulton native, is working on her graduate degree in art history at the European University of St. Petersburg in Russia. She recently won first place in the "Green Europe" graphic design contest for a poster she designed. The poster is in Russian and is translated as "Our generation will separate want and need." Wichmann's design will be distributed across Europe in postcards and posters to provoke European youth to take part in environmental protection.
