Coming off the first American Midwest Conference baseball tournament title in school history, the William Woods Owls now know their postseason fate. The NAIA announced the 45-team field for the 2011 NAIA National Tournament on Sunday and the Owls (34-16) made the cut for the first time in the program's 12-year history.
William Woods drew the No. 4 seed in the Montgomery, Ala. region and the No. 5 seed Huntington (Ind.) Forresters as an opponent. William Woods and Huntington - champions of the Mid-Central College Conference tournament -Â will square off Thursday at noon.
The bracket features nine five-team brackets and will be a double elimination format. The winner of the Owls/Forresters game will take on top seed Montgomery (Ala).
