VFW Car Cruise

The Callaway Cruisers and the VFW gathered in the Dairy Queen parking lot on Saturday for the VFW Car Cruise to showcase some of the area's rarest collectible cars. Grantt Garrett, leader of the Cruisers, brought his 1936 Ford Panel Truck out (above) to show. Garrett, a Rhineland resident, has completely modified the car since buying it in 2007. Harry Lee, retired Callaway County sheriff, brought his 1937 Ford Slantball (right) to the show as well. Lee is one of the co-founders of the Cruisers and bought his Slantball three years ago and has been a fan of the shape and make of this kind of car for many years. The Chevy Stylemaster (top) is a 1947 make and was also on display at the show.
