LA GRANGE (AP) - The Missouri Gaming Commission has proposed a $50,000 fine for a northeast Missouri casino over allegations of cheating incidents involving employees and patrons.
The Quincy (Illinois) Herald-Whig reported the commission on Wednesday recommended the fine for Mark Twain Casino in La Grange for failing to take corrective action and not immediately reporting suspicions that gaming laws were violated.
The casino has 30 days to appeal.
The alleged incidents occurred between December 2016 and August 2017 and involved table games. Employees allegedly knew about cheating incidents but failed to act.
Three employees were fired and arrested on cheating-related charges. Two have pleaded guilty.
A spokesman for the casino said officials there would not comment.
