Weekend patrols lead to 3 drug arrests

Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies made three drug-related arrests during weekend proactive patrols.

A deputy patroling at 11:42 p.m. Saturday near Route M and Interstate 70 south of Hatton stopped Issiah Samspon, 20, of Jefferson City, for a traffic violation.

Deputies subsequently recovered methamphetamine, a felony amount of marijuana and synthetic cannabinoids, according to a CCSO arrest report. Sampson was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail. Sampson was booked and processed for delivery of a controlled substance (three counts).

A deputy patroling at 3:24 a.m. Sunday near County Road 323 and Route F east of Millersburg stopped Patrick Spencer, 43, of Columbia, for a traffic violation. Deputies subsequently recovered methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Spencer was arrested and taken to the Callaway County Jail for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy at 11:42 p.m. patroling the area of Route F and U.S. 54 stopped Kyle Idler, 26, of Greensboro, North Carolina, for a traffic violation. During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy located felony controlled substances (containing tetrahydrocannabinol) and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Idler was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail for felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
