Deputies report weekend arrests

Lt. Curtis Hall of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office reported three weekend incidents resulting in arrests.

Christopher Hay, 30, of Brazito, was arrested after a Tebbetts area burglary investigation at 8:13 p.m. Friday. He was booked and processed for the felony offenses of second-degree burglary and stealing, and placed in the Callaway County Jail on a court-set bond of $9,000. Assisting in the arrest were Cole County deputies.

The investigation was the result of the burglary investigation that began Nov. 21 in the 4000 block of Route AA. Stolen property was found near New Bloomfield on Friday.

While conducting a criminal investigation Saturday in the 3000 block of Foxtail Lane near Millersburg, deputies came in contact with a wanted person, Evelena Smith, 39, of Fulton. She was wanted on a Cole County felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance. She was taken to the Callaway County Jail and then transferred to the Cole County Jail.

A Kingdom City man was arrested following a suspicious activity investigation in Kingdom City at 9:52 p.m. Saturday.

After deputies and state troopers were called to the 5000 block of Old Highway 40, they came in contact with Shawn Buck, 20, who was found in possession of meth. He also was wanted by law enforcement on a failure to appear in court warrant on a Callaway County stealing charge.

Buck was arrested, booked and transported for felony possession of a controlled substance and the warrant. He was being held on a court-set bond of $5,500.
