A 16-year-old from Holts Summit was arrested on felony charges following a shooting incident at Evergreen Apartments last summer.

Devin Schrimpf was charged as an adult Thursday, according to Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism.

Law enforcement was called to Evergreen Apartments on June 27, 2018, after a caller reported a disturbance and shots fired. By the time deputies and Holts Summit Police Department officers arrived, the suspect or suspects had fled the scene.

Deputies eventually identified Schrimpf as a suspect. He was arrested Thursday, court-certified as an adult and later charged with armed criminal action, first-degree attempted robbery and first-degree burglary.

Schrimpf was taken to the Callaway Couty Jail, and his bond was set at $75,000.

The investigation continues, and further arrests are possible, Chism said.
