One man died and another was injured in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday evening on Interstate 70 in Callaway County.
Both men were residents of Costa Mesa, California, according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports.
At about 12:49 p.m., Oscar Serrano-Guevara, 42, was driving eastbound on I-70. Near mile marker 142, his 2000 Toyota Tundra had a flat tire. The vehicle served into the median, struck the median cable and overturned, according to the crash report.
Serrano-Guevara was taken to University Hospital in Columbia and was pronounced dead at 1:27 p.m.
His passenger, Edwin Cruz-Nedrano, 43, received minor injuries and refused medical attention.
