HOLTS SUMMIT, Mo. - A Fulton parole violator was arrested Sunday after a traffic stop, said Lt. Curtis Hall, of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.

Dustin Higgins, 28, was arrested on a Missouri Department of Corrections parole violation warrant, Hall said.

At 8:40 p.m., a deputy patrolling the Holts Summit area stopped a vehicle on East Summit Drive for a vehicle registration violation. During the stop, Hall said, the deputy came into contact with Higgins, realized he was wanted and took him into custody.

Higgins was transported to the Callaway County Jail to be held without bond, per the warrant and pending his return to the department of corrections.
