An Auxvasse woman was arrested Sunday on drug charges, according to Lt. Curtis Hall, of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.
While patrolling County Road 135 near Williamsburg at 5:10 a.m., a deputy found Mary Ashing, 27, in a parked vehicle blocking the road. The deputy investigated, Hall said, and found evidence of drug possession and drug sales in the vehicle.
Ashing was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Callaway County Jail. She later posted a bond and was released pending court appearance.
