Man arrested on two counts of child abuse

HOLTS SUMMIT, Mo. - A Russellville man was charged with two counts of felony child abuse on Tuesday by the Callaway County prosecuting attorney.

According to Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism, Tymothy Wolfe, 22, was arrested by Callaway County Sheriff's Office investigators in Fulton at 2:35 p.m. Monday. He was incarcerated in the Callaway County Jail, pending the posting of $50,000 bond.

The charges were brought forth as the result of a Callaway County Sheriff's Office investigation that began June 27 in Holts Summit. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the victim had been allegedly abused on two separate occasions. The child was subsequently transported to Women's and Children's Hospital in Columbia, where the child was treated and later released.

The State of Missouri Children's Division assisted with the investigation, which is ongoing. Further charges could be forthcoming.
