The Callaway County chapter of Crime Stoppers has established new guidelines for payouts on tips received leading to an arrest. The following tip rewards are effective immediately:
Misdemeanor Crime - Increased by $125 to: $150 minimum (can be increased with board approval).
Felony Crime - Increased by $150 to: $250 minimum (can be increased with board approval).
Case of Special Interest - board discussion and vote.
The mission of the Callaway County Crime Stoppers organization is to publicize the process of anonymously submitting crime tips, pay out the rewards upon arrest and raise funds as needed for these purposes. Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit organization and relies on community donations.
