The women of Callaway County have a new place to shop.
Joycelyn Polk recently opened her new, women centered store, All Things Beautiful Boutique, in the Brick District. Polk said the store will cater to the fashion needs of local women.
"We are going to carry all kinds of women's apparel," she said. "We will have dresses, jeans, accessories, lingerie and anything else they might want."
Polk said she grew up in Fulton, attending the middle and high schools, before moving to Saint Louis. While living in the city, Polk said she thought the area's many high-end stores would be perfect for Fulton.
"We have never had a store like this," she said. "In Saint Louis, there are a million of them, and I thought, 'I think it's time Fulton had one.'"
Polk said that every woman will be able to find something interesting in her store.
"I am looking forward to appealing to women of all sizes, ages and colors," she said. "We have been getting a feel for what the ladies are looking for, and have been taking their suggestions when considering inventory."
This is her first time owning a store, Polk said, though her husband has owned several in the past. Polk added that while the store has not had its grand opening yet, they have already started to generate interest.
"People have been coming in, and have been very excited," she said. "We are expecting to have the grand opening in a week, or a week and a half from now."
