A Fulton man was arrested Tuesday after a police pursuit, according to Callaway County Sheriff's officials.
Shane Vandelicht, 25, was placed in jail on several charges after his arrest.
At 3:23 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy attempted to stop Vandelicht for a traffic violation near West Morningside Drive in east Fulton. Vandelicht refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit was initiated with the assistance of the Fulton Police Department.
Vandelicht traveled various secondary roadways and left Fulton eastbound on State Road O, with Callaway County deputies and Fulton Police Department officers in pursuit. The pursuit continued several miles east of Fulton on eastbound State Road O, onto County Road 111, back onto State Road O, and then into a field and woods south of State Road O near County Road 419.
Vandelicht subsequently fled the vehicle on foot and officers gave chase. After a foot pursuit, Vandelicht was captured and arrested by deputies.
Vandelicht was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked and processed for felony resisting arrest, felony driving while revoked, and numerous traffic violations. Vandelicht was placed on "no bond" pending a judge setting a bond.
According to Case.net, a public resource, Vandelicht has several past felony convictions in Callaway County for driving- and theft-related offenses.
