James Wills, 28, and Jordan Raps, 30, were arrested and face charges in the incident, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

At 2:37 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a disturbance on Larry Court near State Road NN outside of Fulton. Upon arrival, deputies determined Raps had broken into a house unlawfully, and Wills repeatedly struck a vehicle at the scene with his own vehicle, causing substantial damage. By the time officers arrived, both men had fled the scene.

At 4:37 a.m., deputies spotted Wills driving a vehicle in which Raps was a passenger on County Road 202 near Fulton. Officers attempted to stop their vehicle, but they fled. During the pursuit, Wills put the vehicle in reverse and intentionally struck the patrol vehicle. Wills then proceeded to exit the vehicle and threaten to back into the patrol vehicle again, deputies said.

The deputy attempted to hold the two men at gunpoint while awaiting backup, and Wills took off on foot but was chased down and captured by the officer. Raps did not flee, instead waiting in the vehicle.

Both men were transported to Callaway County Jail. Raps was charged with first-degree trespassing and released. Wills was charged with driving while intoxicated and felony resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

At the time of arrest, both men were being monitored by the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole for prior offenses.
