Fulton boys golf finishes fourth in Fulton Quad

FULTON -- Fulton boys golf finished fourth out of four teams in the Fulton Quad Friday at Tanglewood Golf Course.

The Hornets carded a 58-over 202 as a team, 41 strokes behind first-place Southern Boone. Missouri Military Academy took second with 187 and Mexico third with 201.

Highlighting the Eagles' domination, they had the top three golfers: Levi Baumgartner shot a 2-over 38 to place first, Blake Nichols a 39 to finish second and Anthony Basinger a 41 to take third.

For Fulton, Justin Dillon signed for a 49, Rowdy Gohring a 50, Cam Cummins a 51, Jackson Crain a 52 and Spencer Ousley a 55. The Hornets' top four scores counted toward the team total.

Staying in Fulton for their third straight meet to begin the season, the Hornets tee off against Eugene and Hannibal in the Tanglewood Classic Match at 4 p.m. Thursday.
