The Fulton City Council decided to enter into contracts and discussed rezoning tracts of land.

During Tuesday's brief meeting, the council hosted two public hearings for the re-classification of tracts of land.

One tract of land is located at 303 Claymine Drive, with the other at 707 West Chestnut Street.

Both would be re-zoned from R-1 Residential to R-2 Residential.

Nobody spoke in favor or opposition to either of the public hearings.

The council discussed the first readings of two ordinances related to the public hearings. Both re-zoning ordinances were unanimously approved, and will have second readings at the next meeting.

The council discussed a resolution for contract renewal with Visu-Sewer. This is the fifth time the city has renewed this contract. It will also be the last time the contract is renewed.

The contract with Visu-Sewer is for sewer evaluation and rehabilitation services.

The council unanimously approved the resolution.

The council discussed a resolution for the city to purchase a piece of real estate.

It was not clarified where the real estate is located.

The council unanimously approved the resolution.

Another resolution discussed by the council entered the city into a contract with Platte Landing Utility Services, of Parkville.

This contract is for consulting and engineering services to assist with the I-70 pipeline crossing.

The council unanimously approved the resolution.

The next Fulton City Council meeting will be March 26 at 6:30 p.m.
