Boys' Tennis: Helias 8, Fulton 1

The Hornets ended the regular season with a 9-10 record after Tuesday night's non-conference loss to the Crusaders at the high school athletic complex.

Fulton's lone victory came at No. 1 singles when sophomore Haydon Windsor downed Helias' T.J. Hagenhoff 10-2.

No. 2 singles: Dalton Buschjost (H) defeated senior Gage Oestreich (F), 10-2; No. 3: Ben Mitan (H) def. junior Justin Adams (F), 10-8; No. 4: Ryan Pollock (H) def. junior Grant Hendricks (F), 10-7; No. 5: Dylan Grawe (H) def. sophomore Devin Ferro (F), 10-3; No. 6: Tristan Grawe (H) def. junior James Hill (F), 10-3.

No. 1 doubles: Hagenhoff/Mitan (H) def. Windsor/Adams (F), 11-9; No. 2: Buschjost/Pollock (H) def. Oestreich/Hendricks (F), 10-8; No. 3: D. Grawe/T. Grawe (H) def. Ferro/Hill (F), 10-3.

The Hornets travel to Hannibal for the North Central Missouri Conference championships at 9 a.m. Friday.

"A lot of these kids we've already seen during the regular season, so we know how our opponents work," Fulton head coach Rob Fisher said. "It will be all about making adjustments."
