Shawna Knight, a 52-year-old Fulton woman, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the stabbing of a 50-year-old man.
Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies responded 10:47 p.m. Wednesday to the 5000 block of Ethan Lane, off County Road 405, for a reported stabbing, according to a release.
Upon arrival, the deputies confirmed that the victim, who lives with Knight at the residence, was stabbed in the abdomen and was transported to University Hospital by Callaway County EMS. He was in a stable condition during transport.
Knight was arrested at the scene; she was charged Thursday with second-degree domestic assault, a felony charge, by the Callaway County prosecuting attorney. Knight will be transported to the Callaway County Jail following an evaluation.
