COLUMBIA - Senior Gabriel Dos Santos qualified for the NAIA indoor national championships by taking fourth place in the 60 meters in a personal-best 6.86 seconds at Friday's season-opening Missouri Invitational.
Dos Santos also took sixth in the 200 in :23.12 and senior teammate Rhett Cook was right behind him in seventh with a time of :23.23. Cook came in seventh in the 400 in :51.72.
Senior Alonzo Findley also finished sixth for the Owls in the shot put with a toss of 47 feet, 8 1/2 inches, and eighth in the weight throw with a personal-best heave of 50-5 1/2. Senior Kaleb Wilson placed eighth in the mile run in 4:31.50.
In the women's division, freshman Kaleena Logan came in fifth for the Lady Owls in the triple jump with a leap of 35-7 3/4.
William Woods competes in the Illinois College Snowbird Open on Saturday, Jan. 23.
