Community stakeholders, staff and Board of Directors of the Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence of Callaway County (commonly referred to as “CARDV”) gathered together for CARDV’s annual meeting April 12.

“There are new and exciting things happening at CARDV,” said Executive Director Erica Nanney. “For the first time in more than three years, CARDV will be expanding our advocacy staff. We are currently looking for a full-time victim advocate position and for two part-time, weekend positions. We will also be expanding our counseling services through Anodyne Therapy so that we are able to offer therapy to more victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and teen dating violence. We are so excited to be able to better meet the need for services in Callaway County.”

While Nanney highlighted these new developments, she also pointed out CARDV’s accomplishments in the last year. In 2015, CARDV worked with 625 women, men, and children who were victims and survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault.

“Because of our community’s support, CARDV will be there for those who fall victim to domestic violence or sexual assault in the future,” Nanney said.
