Allen, Eagles football team hammer KSD

OLATHE - Senior Joseph Allen rushed for 126 yards and accounted for four touchdowns in the Missouri School for the Deaf Eagles football team's commanding 50-12 win over the Kansas School for the Deaf Jackrabbits on Saturday.

Allen ran for two touchdowns, threw for a score and also caught a touchdown pass as MSD raised its season record to 2-1. Allen also stood out on the defensive side, recording 12 tackles and coming up with an interception.

Sophomore Ste'Quan Scott passed for 94 yards and a score, caught a 30-yard touchdown pass and ran for a score for the Eagles. Scott supplied eight tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception on defense.

Sophomore Marcus Smith rushed for 42 yards and also tallied eight tackles for MSD, while junior Scotty Percy had five tackles and three sacks.

The Eagles host Wisconsin School for the Deaf at 11 a.m. Thursday.
