KINGDOM CITY - The North Callaway Ladybirds volleyball team battled the Hallsville Lady Indians before finally falling in a 25-23, 25-18 loss Monday night.
Senior outside hitter Bethany Bloss logged three kills for North Callaway (3-10), while sophomore outside hitter Nicole Emmons came up with eight digs. Sophomore setter Allyson Eichman also contributed five assists.
"The girls played tough and didn't give up," Ladybirds head coach Liz Gragnani said. "We definitely made (Hallsville) work for it."
North Callaway (2-9) prevailed in the junior varsity match 11-25, 25-12 and 25-18.
The Ladybirds travel to Wright City for an Eastern Missouri Conference contest at 5 p.m. today.
