CENTRALIA - Sophomore Alexandra Morningstar shot a 42 to collect medalist honors and the New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats golf team took first place in Tuesday's quad with host Centralia, Hickman's junior varsity and Paris.
New Bloomfield accumulated a 207 team total, Hickman was a close second with a 209 and Centralia came in third with a 213. Paris did not field a complete team.
Sophomore Maddison Markland added a 48 for the Lady Wildcats, while senior Hannah Cornman shot a 52 and freshman Katie Kelley provided a 65.
"This was a really nice confidence boost for the girls, especially Alexandra, who has been looking to break the 50 mark," New Bloomfield head coach Aaron Murphy said. "I saw a lot of good things and the girls have been working hard in practice."
The Lady Wildcats compete in a meet hosted by Hallsville at 4 p.m. Monday at Lake of the Woods Golf Course in Columbia.
