Lady Hornets volleyball team falls to Fatima

The Fulton Lady Hornets volleyball team slipped to 10-15-2 on the season after coming up short in a 25-16, 19-25, 25-13 non-conference loss Tuesday night at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.

Senior setter Kenzie Shaw registered 13 assists, five aces and four kills for Fulton, while senior libero Amanda Allison recorded 11 digs.

"To be able to take Fatima to three games makes me proud," Lady Hornets head coach Megan Youse said. "Our goal tonight was to just play tough and be smart.

"The girls didn't let up and I liked what I saw."

Fulton (6-9) dropped the junior varsity match 25-7 and 25-12. Junior outside hitter Sydney Dungan had two aces and junior setter Colleen Van Norman chipped in with three assists.

The Lady Hornets (1-10-1) bowed in the freshman match 25-11 and 25-16. Outside hitter Reagan Verwys finished with three kills and one ace, while defensive specialist Kristine Malone contributed four digs.

Fulton ends the regular season with a North Central Missouri Conference match at rival Mexico at 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
