Lady Owls soccer team's season ends in AMC quarterfinals

Kathryn Blomenkamp scored an unassisted goal with 48.5 seconds left in regulation as fifth-seeded Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) jolted the No. 4 William Woods University Lady Owls soccer team 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the American Midwest Conference postseason tournament Friday night at Firley Field.

William Woods - which had edged Lindenwood-Belleville 3-2 on Oct. 21 in Fulton - finished its season with a 10-7-2 record.

The Lady Owls were outshot by the Lady Lynx (11-8) by a 17-9 margin Friday night, including 5-4 in shots on goal. William Woods edged Lindenwood-Belleville 3-2 in corner kicks.
