Fulton women arrested on suspicion of child endangerment

Fulton police arrested two Fulton women for endangering the welfare of a child late Friday morning, according to law enforcement officials.

At about 11:18 a.m. police responded to a report of the 2600 Block of Fairway claiming a child had fallen out of a vehicle and two adult females were acting suspiciously. When officers arrived, they made contact with the two female suspects - 30-year-old Erin Nunes and 28-year-old Marie Dishman.

Upon further investigation, officers found Nunes to be in felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Police also determined that Nunes had endangered the welfare of a toddler inside the vehicle. Nunes was transported to the Callaway County Jail and released on a $9,500 bond.

Officers also determined that Dishman, the child's mother, be taken into custody for felony child endangerment. Dishman was also transported to the Callaway County Jail with a $4,500 bond. The child in the vehicle did not appear to be injured and was released to juvenile authorities.
