For the fundraiser, Audrey Langworthy of Auxvasse sat in a rocking chair outside of the Callaway County Courthouse from 7 a.m.- 7p.m. Proceeds will go to the Children's Miracle Network, of which Langworthy is an ambassador.
Langworthy, Miss Branson, is competing for Miss Missouri. She estimated more than 200 people stopped by Thursday during the fundraiser.
Furthermore, Langworthy said she heard stories from families whom the Children's Miracle Network has helped.
"I just know what we raise here today will all go to these families," Langworthy said.
She raised $546.81 during the fundraiser. She did another fundraiser at Kingdom Christian Academy Thursday, as well. That fundraiser brought in $456.81, also for the Children's Miracle Network. The money raised will help local Callaway County families in that program.
