No. 6 Lady Owls win fourth straight Washington University Spring title

Freshman Katie Warren collected a tournament record and finished first individually to help boost William Woods to its fourth consecutive Washington University Spring Invitational championship on Sunday.

The Lady Owls bested the field by 25 strokes, recording a tournament record 29-over-par 605 (297-308) to top the host Lady Bears.

Warren shot a two-round total of 2-over-par 146 (71-75) to pick up her second victory of the season.

Junior Jodie Peacock earned fifth place with a 6-over-par 150 (75-75), while junior Myriam Hassan tallied a 14-over-par 158 (82-76), moving up 19 spots the second round to finish in ninth place.

Junior Alejandra Ferrer shot a 15-over-par 159 (77-82) to place 11th, while freshman Megan Cullen wrapped up her day with a 16-over-par 160 (74-86), good for 14th place.

William Woods began its own William Woods Spring Invitational on Monday at Tanglewood Golf Course, with action scheduled to wrap up today.
