Senior Ridge Martin shot a 43 to direct the Wildcats in Thursday's season opener against host Salisbury, Glasgow and Fayette.
Senior Tyler Grace and sophomore Gannon Withers also provided a pair of 44s for New Bloomfield, which did not have enough golfers to field a full team. Salisbury took first place with a 164 team total.
"I was happy with the effort and how the guys stayed mentally focused through the entire round," Wildcats head coach Aaron Murphy said. "It will be nice when we have a full team to see how we can do."
Murphy noted that New Bloomfield will be able to compete as a team when it plays in the Hallsville Invitational at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
