No. 2 William Woods takes fifth at Florida tournament

The second-ranked Lady Owls took fifth place with a 42-over par 626 (314-312) as the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational wrapped up Tuesday.

No. 3 SCAD-Savannah secured the team championship with a 1-under 583, followed by top-ranked Northwood (Florida) University in second place with a 599. No. 14 Texas Wesleyan was third with a 611 and No. 5 Oklahoma City University came in fourth with a 618.

Freshman Katie Warren tallied a 7-over 153 (76-77) to direct William Woods with an 11th-place finish. Another pair of freshmen, Megan Cullen (78-80) and Andrea Agniel (77-81), shot identical 158s in tying for 26th place for the Lady Owls, while junior Jodie Peacock was 51st with a 167 (84-83).

William Woods junior Myriam Hassan - playing as an individual - finished 16th with a 155 (80-75).

The Lady Owls compete March 23-24 at the Challenge at Dalhousie in Cape Girardeau.
