1 dead, 1 arrested after Miller County crash

One Iberia man died and another Iberia man was arrested following a two vehicle accident in Miller County, Monday afternoon.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the accident occurred on Missouri 42 at Hawkins Cemetery Road around 2 p.m.

A vehicle driven by William Maylee, 34, Iberia, crossed the center line of the road and struck a vehicle driven by Jerald Witt, 51, Iberia, head-on.

Maylee, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witt was treated for minor injuries and was arrested for DWI prior offender, no insurance, no seat belt and illegal window tint.

• Three people were treated for injuries following a three vehicle crash in Boone County, Monday evening.

Patrol reports show the accident occurred at Route WW and Rolling Hills Road around 5:20 p.m.

A vehicle driven by Rachel Brown, 28, Ashland, entered the intersection and went into the path of a vehicle driven by William Bahr, 88, Fulton.

After the two vehicles struck, Bahr's vehicle spun and struck a third vehicle driven by Christopher Sutton, 50, Columbia.

Bahr and his wife, Peggy Bahr, 83, Fulton, were treated for serious injuries. Brown was treated for minor injuries and Sutton had no reported injuries.

All those involved were wearing seat belts.
