A Friday evening search in Holts Summit ended quickly and successfully when a missing boy was found and returned to his parents.

Various public safety personnel responded shortly before 6 p.m. to search for the boy, who was described as 13 years old with special needs.

He reportedly wandered away from his home in the 1100 block of Hunters Creek. He was located shortly after 6:30 p.m. in a nearby neighborhood.
