Arrowood, Mann lift South Callaway girls past Wellsville

A productive first quarter vaulted the Lady Bulldogs to a 60-29 non-conference rout of the Lady Tigers on Tuesday night.

South Callaway (12-8) rolled to a 24-4 lead after one quarter and didn't look back from there. The Lady Bulldogs' advantage reached 34-13 at halftime.

"We worked the ball inside tonight and that's something we haven't done in a while," South Callaway head coach Darren Humphrey said. "Everything clicked for us tonight."

Sophomore forward Konnor Arrowood and freshman guard Adrian Mann logged 17 points apiece to share game scoring honors for the Lady Bulldogs. Senior forward Hannah Oberdiek also supplied 11 points.

Jordan Kellogg totaled 11 points to lead Wellsville.

South Callaway improved to 8-2 with a 22-14 win in one half of junior varsity play. Freshman guard Ashley Potter tallied a team-high 13 points.

South Callaway travels to state-ranked Fatima for a Show-Me Conference clash at 5:30 p.m. today. The Lady Comets are ranked No. 5 in Class 3.
