Hornet wrestlers blow past Boonville in NCMC opener

The Fulton Hornets wrestling team won four matches by pin and four by forfeit in blistering Boonville 56-9 in its North Central Missouri Conference opener Tuesday night at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.

Fulton raised its dual record to 3-0 with the dominant victory.

106: open; 113: sophomore Tucker Caswell (F) pinned Andrew Kraus (B) in 1:48; 120: sophomore Solomon Huff (F) won by forfeit; 126: junior Devan Hudson (F) won by forfeit; 132: sophomore Jacob Kern (F) won by forfeit;

138: open; 145: senior Josh McClure (F) won by 19-2 technical fall over Charles Pumel (B); 152: senior Trenton Clines (F) won by forfeit; 160: senior Andy Baysinger (F) pinned Andrew Garrison (B) in 1:40; 170: junior Luke Berrey (F) pinned Trey Schler (B) in 2:35;

182: Joel Concannon (B) won by 2-2 ultimate tiebreaker over sophomore Colton Bristol (F); 195: Lucas Gerke (B) pinned senior Jonathan Morris (F) in 2:02; 220: senior Zach Benner (F) pinned Keandre Anderson (B) in 2:45; 285: senior Elisha Eniade (F) won by 3-1 decision over Landon Bail (B).

The Hornets compete in a triangular with host Rock Bridge and Sedalia Smith-Cotton in Columbia at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15.
