Fulton teenager shot in JC

Jefferson City Police are investigating a Monday night shooting in which a teenager was wounded.

The victim was a 16-year-old boy from Fulton who was shot in the arm just before midnight in the 500 block of East Elm Street.

After being shot, he was driven by car to the police station where an ambulance transported him to a local hospital.

Detectives were called out and evidence was recovered and witnesses interviewed at the scene.

Authorities said the investigation was ongoing and no further details would be released to preserve the integrity of the investigation.

As of Tuesday afternoon, no arrests had been made.
