MONTGOMERY CITY - New Bloomfield sophomore Gannon Withers shot a 2-over par 37 to collect medalist honors in Friday's quad match with host Montgomery County, Silex and Wright City.
"Gannon played really well," Wildcats head coach Aaron Murphy said. "He's putting in a lot of extra time and it's nice to see him take that next step.
"He's becoming more patient and if he continues to stay in the present with each shot, he'll be a more consistent golfer."
Seniors Tyler Grace and Ridge Martin added a 45 and 52 for New Bloomfield, which was not able to field a complete team.
The Wildcats return home for a match at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club at 4 p.m. Monday.
Correction
It was incorrectly reported in Friday's edition that New Bloomfield senior Ridge Martin shot a 36 in Thursday's quad meet at Eugene. Martin shot a 39.
