Ladybirds fall in straight sets to EMO foe Bowling Green

Junior middle hitter Bethany Bloss put away 10 kills in the Ladybirds' 25-19, 25-17 Eastern Missouri Conference loss to the Lady Bobcats on Thursday night.

Bloss added six digs and two blocks for North Callaway (2-8, 0-3 EMO).

Junior middle hitter Destri Eichman totaled a team-high 10 digs, added two kills and registered two blocks for the Ladybirds. Junior setter Bailey Langworthy delivered 14 assists and tallied three digs.

"... We're getting there. We did have some really good plays," North Callaway head coach Amy Spence said. "Our setters played really, really well and I felt like they set the ball well tonight."

North Callaway (1-9) fell 25-20 and 25-18 in the junior varsity match.

The Ladybirds host Missouri School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.
