Arrowood throws perfect game in Lady Bulldogs' romp

FAYETTE - Sophomore starter Konnor Arrowood tossed a perfect game as the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs softball team manhandled Fayette 11-0 in five innings Tuesday night.

Arrowood struck out seven to post the victory. South Callaway (10-4) pushed across three runs in the top of the first inning, then erupted for seven in the fourth and tacked on its final run in the fifth.

Junior designated player Ashley Miller finished 3-for-3 with two runs batted in as the Lady Bulldogs accumulated 13 hits. Senior catcher Anna Bartley and sophomore third baseman Alyssa Laughlin were both 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, while senior right fielder Emily Caldwell was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

South Callaway prevailed in the junior varsity game 11-3.

The Lady Bulldogs return home for a Show-Me Conference matchup against St. Elizabeth at 5 p.m. today.
