Report of suspicious activity near bus stop puts Tebbetts on alert

The neighborhood watch group in Tebbetts has been alerted about strange activity that took place near a school bus stop on Monday.

Lt. Clay Chism with the Callaway County Sheriff's Office said a call came in around 8:30 p.m. that two Caucasian males were spotted four hours earlier, around 4 p.m., sitting in a vehicle at a bus stop.

Based on the given report, Chism said the men made no physical or verbal attempts to make contact with the children. He did call the activity suspicious, and he added that the sheriff's office contacted the neighborhood watch group.

It was reported that the men were in a silver and white, box-shaped vehicle, Chism said, but no make or model description was given. One of the men had a shaved head.

Chism said no similar reports have been made in the Tebbetts area.
