The Lady Blue Jays committed 26 turnovers in falling 87-56 in the final game of the CCIW/SLIAC Challenge on Sunday.
Junior point guard Kasey Gatson led Westminster with 15 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the floor and a 6-for-6 effort from the free throw line. Junior point guard Mackenzie Haddox added 14 points, including 7-of-10 shooting from the stripe as the Lady Blue Jays (1-1) were 20-of-28 from the line.
Sophomore guard Andrea Zalis added 13 points and led Westminster with eight rebounds. The Lady Blue Jays connected on 17-of-42 field goals (40.5 percent) on the day.
Westminster plays at Wartburg (Iowa) College at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
